Synopsys (SNPS) is attempting to help Chinese companies develop chips faster with AI versions of its tools by partnering with AI companies in China, Nikkei Asia reported Friday, citing its interview with Chief Executive Ravi Subramanian.
Ravi Subramanian will look into exploring partnerships with local AI labs to develop tools for China in order to stay within export restrictions imposed by the US, the report said.
The company will try to produce a new chip design each year, Subramanian was quoted as saying.
Synopsys did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
