Linical (TYO:2183) has received large orders totalling 3.21 billion yen from a U.S. biotechnology company customer, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.

The projects had been delayed in contract execution due to reduced operations at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) following the partial shutdown of the U.S. government last year.

While the effects of that situation continue to impact order acquisition activities in the U.S., the environment is gradually normalizing, and inquiries from prospective clients seeking to outsource development projects are increasing.

The impact of these orders on financial results for the current fiscal year has already been reflected in the consolidated financial forecast disclosed on May 15.
