Everest Medicines Opens Up Over 5%, Appoints Two Moderna Oncology Vaccine Scientists to Accelerate Global mRNA Clinical Development

Everest Medicines (01952) opened up over 5% in early trading. As of press time, the stock was up 2.22% at HK$29.44, with a turnover of HK$34.801 million.

On October 9, Everest Medicines announced the appointment of Dr. Lakshmi Srinivasan as Senior Vice President and Head of Translational Medicine, and Dr. Brandon Coder as Vice President of Translational Science and Early Research. Both new executives bring deep industry experience and professional backgrounds, having previously led oncology vaccine research and development at globally leading biopharmaceutical companies such as Moderna, with complete hands-on experience spanning early discovery through clinical translation and clinical development.

This major talent acquisition is a key move by Everest Medicines to accelerate its global mRNA strategy and will further strengthen the global R&D capabilities and international collaboration layout of its mRNA technology platform.

Under the leadership of Everest Medicines' management, the two scientists will focus on advancing the clinical development and related business layout of the company's mRNA technology platform in the United States, and will work closely with the China R&D team to further empower the evolution of the mRNA technology platform.
