Scholar Education Group disclosed that the trustee of its share award scheme purchased 320,000 shares on-market on 8 October 2026. The buy represents approximately 0.047 % of the company’s issued share capital.
The shares were acquired at an average price of HK$0.71 each, translating into total consideration of about HK$0.23 million, excluding transaction costs. Following the latest transaction, the trustee now holds 51.92 million shares, equivalent to 7.71 % of Scholar Education’s outstanding shares.
Management reiterated that the prevailing market price undervalues the company’s fundamentals and confirmed that further repurchases may be instructed subject to market conditions. The board will determine future grants to eligible participants in accordance with the share award scheme’s rules and the trust deed.
The company’s share award programme, first adopted in December 2020 and updated through a series of subsequent announcements, is intended to provide equity incentives to selected employees and stakeholders.
