On October 9 local time, Geely Auto (SEHK: 00175), a core brand under Geely Automobile Group, announced that it has officially entered the Canadian market. The move is viewed as a key step in the brand's global strategy and marks substantive progress in its North American market expansion.

According to the company, Geely Auto has completed incorporation and begun operations in Canada, and is now advancing the build-out of its local retail and service network in preparation for delivering its first vehicles to Canadian consumers in 2027. Geely Auto Canada will combine the group's global technology resources with local market insights, developing products and service plans tailored to the actual driving scenarios of Canadian motorists, with the aim of steadily establishing itself in the local market.

On the channel and service front, Geely plans to partner with local dealers that know the market well and have deep community ties, building a full-cycle service support system covering vehicle purchase and ownership to safeguard consumers' after-sales experience. Geely believes that a well-developed retail and service network is a core factor for success in the Canadian market.

Geely said its confidence in entering Canada comes from the group's systemic strengths in vehicle engineering, safety technology, electrification, intelligent technology and advanced manufacturing. To date, products from the group's brands including Geely, Zeekr and Lynk & Co have entered more than 100 countries and regions worldwide, underpinned by a global R&D and design network focused on research, electrification, product development and next-generation vehicle technologies.

In terms of sales performance, Geely Auto's overseas business is in a rapid growth channel. From January to September 2026, Geely Auto's cumulative sales exceeded 2.235 million units, setting a new record for the same period. Overseas, cumulative exports in the first nine months surpassed 797,000 units, up 169% year on year; single-month exports in September reached more than 106,000 units, up 162% year on year, marking the fourth consecutive month of monthly exports above 100,000 units. Exports of new energy models grew notably, with September NEV exports exceeding 73,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 403%.

Geely Automobile Group said it will continue to pursue a high-value overseas strategy, combining global product strength with localized operating capabilities to steadily improve its global market layout and provide reliable products and services to overseas users.
