BYTE META has issued a profit warning, indicating that its net loss attributable to shareholders for the year ending June 30, 2026, is expected to swell to no more than HK$22 million.
This marks a notable increase from the net loss of approximately HK$11.5 million recorded in the prior fiscal year, which ended June 30, 2025.
The company's board attributes the anticipated rise in the annual net loss to two key factors. Firstly, the current year is expected to recognize a share of losses from an associate company of around HK$3.7 million, a stark reversal from the roughly HK$4.1 million profit contribution seen in the previous year. Secondly, the company will not benefit from a one-off gain of about HK$5.5 million that was recognized in the prior year, which had arisen from the sale of Micron Technology Information (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries.
