RIDGE OUTDOOR (02720) has announced that on September 30, 2026, its subsidiary Harrison Advanced Rods Ltd (the buyer) entered into an asset purchase agreement with Suremag Limited (the seller), under which the buyer intends to acquire the operating assets of the "Harrison Advanced Rods" brand (Harrison) owned by the seller.

Upon completion of the acquisition, the target assets will be transferred to Harrison Advanced Rods Ltd. Dr. Stephen Harrison, founder of Suremag Limited, has been appointed as a director and chief executive officer of Harrison Advanced Rods Ltd.

The acquisition aligns with the group's strategy of acquiring and developing heritage brands with strong reputations and loyal customer bases, and accelerating their penetration into global markets.

The core business of the Harrison brand covers the sale of finished fishing rods (including carp rods) as well as the supply of rod blanks. The seller has been actively collaborating with various universities on academic research into carbon fiber, exploring new ways to optimize composite material performance, and continues to carry out research projects.

Its technological advantages are built on a series of industry-leading processes, including thin-layer carbon fiber structures and interference-fit joints. Its products are distributed globally and are highly regarded by top anglers.

The brand's business is led by the highly respected Dr. Stephen Harrison, who has more than 37 years of experience in the tackle industry and will continue to serve as chief executive officer to ensure a smooth transition and continued development of the Harrison brand.

The "Harrison Advanced Rods" business has established a strong brand influence among anglers. The seller initially focused on competition rods and float rods, then quickly shifted to fly rods and later carp rods.

In recent years, the seller has become a leader in the design of long-distance casting carp rods, producing rods that have broken casting distance records, and is now moving into sea fishing rod production.

In May 2026, a carp that set a British record was caught using Suremag Limited's Harrison Acurix rod. In October 2025, Suremag Limited's casting consultant Samyy Energiee set a world carp rod casting record using Suremag Limited's Harrison World Champion I rod.
