Humana Shares Surge Nearly 12% as Medicare Advantage Star Ratings Improve Sharply

On Friday, Humana (HUM.US) saw its shares jump nearly 18% early in the trading session before paring gains. As of the latest update, the stock was up nearly 12%, trading at $433.07.

On the news front, Humana disclosed that 95% of its relevant enrollees are now in plans rated four stars or higher. Based on the final 2027 Medicare Advantage star ratings data, Humana expects its average star bonus revenue per member per month to reach $160 by 2027.

The company stated that this performance has exceeded its "top quartile" target, which is 10% above the industry average. Humana also reaffirmed its fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings per share guidance of at least $9.
